We stayed at this resort in September during Hurricane Irma. It was a very nice place until the storm hit. Hurricane proof glass did not hold up. Lots of damage. Hotel manager wasn't seen before storm came in. She did come in a day after the storm hit to see what damage had been done and to check on the people staying there. None of here employees showed up to work. We were basically left on our own. She did have a security guard that came in at night to watch the place. Also the lady that owned the shop next door was around and knew more about the resort than the manager. We really enjoyed the days before the storm. The Pink Pearl Restaurant that is in the hotel was wonderful. Hopefully they rebuild it is a good location for the beach and downtown. You also have to pay for electricity with this stay and wifi.
Sea Palace is right on the beach and the boardwalk. Had pretty view from our balcony. Wish there was more things to eat at and do at night around this place. We had 1 bedroom, 2 baths. Was great for the 4 of us. Nice kitchen and living room area. 1 bedroom was big. We had washer and dryer in the room. Came daily and got our garbage. Cleaned room during the middle of the week. Sasha was great help to us!
Great place to stay. Right near everything in Phillpsburg and easy to walk to. The beach is calm and clean. There is a Chinese restaurant at the bottom of the hotel. There are full kitchens so stock up at the grocery store. I'd suggest bringing grocery bags or backpack as a decent store is a hike for sure. Clean rooms. You have to pay for the internet but I worked well.
I was booked to this resort on 07/01 - 07/08/2017 2bed room 601 AB, I think this is the best room location of all the units in this resort, try to attend the Monday presentation for the available tour. the Sea Palace resorts crew are exceptionally helpful (special thanks to Bibi and Sasha) construction is completed.I suggest to rent a car if you want to get around the island which is cheaper than taxi, the front desk folks will help you book the car for about 150 for the whole week, There is minor issues but nothing to complain about...awesome location really step to the beach, restaurants and bars. I enjoy my stay here for the fact that its a slow season.. will be back definitely
Walking distance to at least 30 restaurants and 100 stores. Newly renovated.granite and full kitchen.only drawback is lots of extra fees. They charge for elect,wi-fi,cleaning,etc. Right across from the cruise port.
