What a hidden gem near the airport.our room ...108 opened right to the beach with a wrap around porch! All staff and guests were so friendly. We met a couple who comes ever Year! Need I say more. Now this hotel isn't real fancy, but it is so homey and comfortable with a vintage feel! WiFi is great! The Boon, restaurant and bar on sight is open air , and Jimmy, co-owner is so great! Food is made to order , and the bacon starts cookin in the morning-just can't resist!
Spent a wonderful week here! Beautiful little jewel on Simpson bay! Great food, great service, clean and comfortable room! Can't wait to go back! There is still much evidence of Irma and Maria on the island, but we were very impressed with the reconstruction efforts thus far. Mary's Boon is in great shape, and it's obvious that a lot of love and care has gone into the Boon!
Spent one night there while overnighting to Anguilla. Very nice place to stay on Simpson Bay. Friendly people. The restaurant there was very good for lunch and drinks. Air conditioning worked great. Would stay again.
We had a lovely upstairs room (203). From the front door a view of the tarmac of the airport and the back door the beach! A huge Euro king size bed and kitchen. The bed was very comfortable Bathroom was large with a nice shower. . Everything was great with the exception of Sunday and the following Saturday and then would be Sunday again also, the very loud music from 2-7pm. They hotel is not in charge of it, but the bar is, contracted out to have parties. We tried to escape the loud thunderous boom, boom , boom for 2.5 hrs and finally gave up and went over to Kim-Sha beach to get some relief. We returned to our room at 7:45pm and it was still going. Finally at 8:06 it stopped. Saturday was not quite as bad but we planned to leave and not return til we knew it was close to over. The parking situation is challenging to begin with but when there is a party you can forget it. The pool was nice, it was fun to be so close to the big airliners (sometimes very shocking loud) and management was great. There are small waves at this beach, so don't expect it to be calm, but the water was clear and the sand is nice. Not a beach for small kids. The beach chairs are great but they lean forward in the front row, so it's a bit hard to keep yourself on the chair. We would definitely stay there again and plan to leave for parties. I understand they are trying to generate business at a time where there are so few tourists on island. The parties were mostly attended by locals 30-60 years old The DJ needs to learns people that age prefer regular music vs bass digital music, but if you have enough to drink, it doesn't matter does it?
Marys Boon was hit very hard by Irma but has recovered nicely. We stayed 15 nights and had a wonderful time.Room was a king on the ocean and was spacious. Housekeeping was good, timely and friendly. There was a new room safe which is way easier to operate than the old ones. Newspaper at door every morning. Restaurant opens at 7 and u can charge to your room. Nice touch is tub of water at your steps for rising sand off your feet before u go in your room. Office staff is very helpful as are the guys on the grounds and maintenance. Marys Boon is a little quirky at times but as they say,, its all about the beach and they have a good one. Good Value. We used to spend 10 nights at Grand Case Beach Club then 5 at Marys Boon but GCBC is closed for now so 15 here. we have already booked a 7 night stay for our next trip. Bar and Rest under new Mgt so I will review them in another post if I can Suffice it to Say The Boon Bar is a cool place now! ps if u go to Marys boon ask for the picture album they have post Irma..startling but shows what a great recovery they have made!
