Located in a one of the most beatiful beach on the island ( simpson Bay), Marys Boon, is a charming , cute little place to stay...., well located, this is the place, we stayed for 5 nights in july, The staff are polite, nice and simple happy work caribbean people. They have good food, and the bartender is really nice. The internet connection is really bad, not only at the hotel but all over the island. Definnitely going back.
The only good thing about this place is that it's close to the beach. Room had a funky odor. Staff was rude and not at all helpful when I complained about it, and I was overall not pleased. Will never stay there again.
We had a great stay at Mary's Boon. We stayed for 3 nights in April in a beachfront King studio. The location was amazing, right on the beach. Simpson's Bay is beautiful and quiet. We felt like we practically had the beach to ourselves some days. We swam every day. The staff were friendly and the hotel seemed very clean. We had an amazing, though expensive meal at the restaurant. The grounds are very pretty as well. The airport is directly behind the hotel so the planes can be noisy but we enjoyed watching them take off. They didn't bother us at all and we slept very comfortably. It was nice to have the kitchenette in the rooms so we cooked a few meals. My only complaint was that we didn't have clean towels in the room when we arrived and we asked the front desk for them but never received them. When we went to ask again the front desk was closed. Thankfully the friendly bartender was able to get us some! Overall we had a wonderful stay and would return.
I truly love Mary's Boon. We've visited on several occasions and have never been disappointed. Yes, things aren't always perfect. Yes, things break. The staff is always excellent and the food is good, the beach is the best. Why else do you visit? I don't understand any negativity about this place. I don't expect to be in the US when I'm on the island. Love it.
We visited Mary's Boon last June for our honeymoon and we were so taken with the location that we decided to go back again this year for our anniversary. First of all, if you're looking for 5 star luxury, book the Westin. If you want a room with a stunning view of Simpson Bay and/or a door that pretty much opens on to the beach, then seriously consider Mary's Boon. The staff here are very friendly and we were even remembered by a few of them. I was also happy to discover they've upgraded their WiFi so it's much faster and a lot closer to what we're used to at home. Sure, the rooms are a little dated, but the beds are comfortable and it's quiet and the rooms are spacious. The restaurant food is not bad, but for me, a little over-priced.
